Crisp, yet full and floral. Violets, turned earth, choc-mint wafer, cassis, plum jam, cinnamon toast, pouch tobacco, raspberry coulis, leafy bramble and young rosemary. Oak is present with cedary notes and vanilla essence. Medium-full palate, yet retains a regional tightness to the frame. Tannins are grainy, tight and savoury. There’s a darkness to the fruit which feels a little wicked and naughty. Finish of char through the length of the tail, but it adds to a little rustic charm.
