Made from the pressings of the The Chase and Hunter’s Semillons. Nothing goes to waste at Gundog. Offering 54 grams per litre of residual sugar, this “Off-Dry” a low alcohol due to the process of stopping fermentation early to retain those natural sugars, and offers a fine counterpoint to RTDs and a ‘why not’ in the era of Lo/No Alc wines. Note: Bottle image is of 2023, but nought else has changed save the vintage year.
Gundog Estate, Off-Dry, Semillon, Hunter Valley, 2025

Very pale hue. Yellow melon, lemon drop, stone fruit slices, golden apple to brown pear pome fruit, lime juice, yellowbox honey, just fired shotgun and celery leaf. Slippery sugars make this an easy roll, but the balance of acid to sugar isn’t quite as intense as previous vintages. There’s an obvious statement of quality, just feeling a little corpulent. More than happy to match with a spiced Thai jungle curry.
