Aged in new toasted French oak puncheons for 24 months and given extended lees contact by modern barrel rolling (they also have a ‘Stirred’ in the range)
Cook’s Lot, Iconique Barrique, Rolled, Chardonnay, Central Ranges, 2019
Pale straw. Buttery and toasty, plenty of generous winemaking influences over stone fruit, candle wax, white flowers, tonic water, latte cream tones, almond praline and lemon butter. Generous palate with bittersweet citrus, creamy/leesy tones, almond nuttiness, while retaining regional acidity while being released at 6 years of age. Don’t serve it too cold and allow the fruit to come through.
