Yalumba, Sanctum, Cabernet Sauvignon, Coonawarra, 2023
Deep garnet in colour with a bright edge. Bramble, cassis, blackcurrant juice, blueberry muffin, Easter egg chocolate, vanilla bean and a little ferrous dried blood. Fresh, ripe and fruit focused. The tannins impeccable (considering no oak work), firm and velvety. There’s a juiciness with a neat umami balance. Serve with a big plate of flank steak, South American style.
