Paul, Lynda and Isaac Williams have just released the second wine under their ownership of this vineyard, the 2015 Pinot Noir to go along with their Sauvignon Blanc. They’ve recently planted more Pinot, SB and also a few rows of Riesling, so their future looks quite set. The wines are skilfully made at nearby Frogmore Creek by Alain Rousseau.
Wobbly Boot Vineyard Pinot Noir, Coal Valley, 2015
Cheerful cherry, light balsamic strawberry, toffee apple and a little sweaty savouriness. On the medium weight side, but pleasant flavours, with bright cherry, thyme herb and fresh spicy oak. A little spiky and nervy but bottled 8 days ago, so expect it to settle down a touch.
RRP: $36
Alc: 13.9%
