Pig In The House by Windowrie Sauvignon Blanc 2015

Continuing the “Savalanche” of reviews, this time we move to Western New South Wales. Based in Cowra, not far from Orange, producers like Windowrie are giving the region an authentic voice alongside its more famous northern sibling. Fully certified organic.

Pig In The House, Sauvignon Blanc, Cowra, 2015

PITH-Sauv-BlancLimes and lantana, nettles, creamed asparagus, gooseberry and a hint of Bacardi Rum spirit. Fullish palate with green capsicum, tart green gooseberry. The fruit feels a little dull, yet the regional acidity burns crisp and clean. The right food match would help it shine brighter.

RRP: $25

Alc: 12.5%
