Run Free by Singlefile, Chardonnay, Great Southern, 2014

Nougat, marzipan and almond nuttiness with attractive savoury straw bale and barley water, highlighted by lemon drop citrus. Crisp white stone fruit palate along with a refreshing hint of ginger spice from the wild ferment. Beautifully balanced mouth-feel from well judged oak, yet crisp citrus length is retained by not going through MLF, put this squarely in the top value mod-oz Chardy bracket.
