Voyager Estate, Cabernet/Merlot, Margaret River 2011

Made up from parcels of both Old block & the younger North block.
Cabernet dominant nose, black currant, tea, glorious pencil woodiness, stewing plum from the merlot and all capped with a little savoury Asian spice.
Exquisite drying tannin profile, with soy/umami/savoury juxtaposing beautiful the black currant driving fruit, all with spice & the right amount of flesh. This is how blends are supposed to be.
