Sassy Wines Pinot Noir 2013

Made by the very capable (and likeable) Pete Logan, of Logan Wines. Sassy are still a relative newcomer on the Orange scene, but are certainly doing good things.

Sassy Wines Pinot Noir, Orange, 2013

SassyPN

Slightly dulled and sullen looking in the glass. Prosciutto-ish meaty note, followed by orange-esque citrus and cinnamon spices. Light Fruits of the Forest intermix with forest floor mulch and a bitter iodine after-note. Smooth palate with fine tannins, while the fruit is initially lean, savoury and leans towards light sour cherry fruit at the heart. Definitely keeping in the house style for Sassy and will have fans.

RRP: $30

Alc: 13.5%
