Brokenwood Cricket Pitch White, Sauvignon Blanc/Semillon 2015

The entry level white for the iconic Hunter Valley kindergarten/breeding ground. 60% SB and 40% Semillon. 85% Cowra, 5% Hunter, 3% Orange and 7% McLaren Vale.
Strong snow pea and grassy note, with lemon grass, soft green melon tropicals, ash and black currant from the sauvignon blanc.
Sweaty and melon sweet up front, good texture from the small proportion of barrel fermentation. Finishes with a long cover drive of bittersweet grapefruit and lemony citrus. It’s cricket season somewhere in the world.
