Stalwart of the Clare Valley, this is the Taylor family’s everyday range.
Taylors Promised Land Riesling, South Australia, 2015
Funky lime zest and “Thirst Lifesaver” citrus. There’s some riper, sweeter lime notes too, like when your lime ZooperDooper started to melt. A little oxymoronic: flabby and yet coarse on the palate, with “Warhead” lolly like sourness to finish. I seem to have pulled out all the confectionery comparisons. Whilst this isn’t a refined, elegant Polish Hill or Watervale marque, it’ll serve Wednesday night and Thai takeaway in front of the TV
