A new release from Wolf Blass, exclusive to Dan Murphy’s, as a nod to the 30 years of Wolf being in Australia.
Wolf Blass Heritage Release Shiraz Cabernet, Robe/Mount Benson 2012
Taking in some lesser known (labelled) wine regions of Robe and Mount Benson and well aged from 2012. 84% Shiraz and 16% Cabernet.
First hit from the screw cap is charry, cherry-wood Oak. Followed by deep plum and builder’s pencil, with an ashen black fruit lilt and strap licorice.
Milky chocolate/caramel bar sweet oak smarms its away across the palate. Plunge deep into depths and depths of “old school ” black/purple fruits with reams of crunchy, crispy meat skin tannins before lingering spice and pepper. It’s sweet, it’s full, it’s black, it’s blue but it still works if this is you’re after, especially in winter.
RRP: $44.99
Alc: 14.5%
