33rd release of this stalwart label. I think Coonawarra must hold most of the “continual” label releases with this and the Wynns labels. Any takers on that trivia?
St Hugo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Coonawarra 2013

Pencils, mint, crushed blackberries and mulberries, sweetish cedary toasted oak, jags of black olive and cabbage roses. Solid Coonawarra, black fruits all along the spectrum. Power and drive. Tannins, black tea tannins, full as expected but sitting perfectly. This is Coonawarra; this is St Hugo; this is why it has endured. If you can find cheaper, buy.
