Taylors Estate (white label). Ever reliable: the matching choice of so many mid-week dinners and summer weekend BBQs.
Taylors Estate, Cabernet Sauvignon, Clare Valley, 2015
Boot polish, cassis, true cigar, roasting duck meat and black currant syrup. Seems slick on the palate: all burnt toffee oak on the sides with a sliding blackcurrant/cassis heart. Some shade with the light though: good Clare Valley brooding darkness. Tannins linger just long enough, like a house guest who knows when it’s time to leave after the football has finished. Easy drinking and more than likely found for cheaper than RRP.
RRP: $20
Alc: 14%
