Not quite as famous as their Marsanne, this Northern Rhone variety was planted on the estate in 1990.
Tahbilk,Viognier, Nagambie Lakes, 2016
Expressively floral: light rosewater and pretty apricot flesh, balanced by chalk and cinnamon-topped apple pie. Juicy acidity, like biting into a just ripe piece of fruit, with texture of baked apricot slices followed by some of the natural phenolics but retaining that lighter, sharper acid profile. Will most likely age quite well as per the other whites in the Tahbilk stable, but I love the balance now. Very good.
