From the muddy banks of Lake George….which in all my years living in Sydney and driving to Canberra, didn’t have that much water in it. Still, the windmills are amazing. Lerida Estate have since rolled to the 2015 vintages, with new flashier labels.
Lerida Estate, Lake George, Pinot Noir, Canberra, 2014
Sappy/dull cranberry, some carbonic confection nose, flint and forest floor characters. Odd mint note poking out too. Sour and dull red fruits, odd chocolate biscuit oak/protein mix up. It’s okay, just unfortunately looks and tastes a little lifeless.
RRP: $26.50
Alc: 14.1%
