Here’s an exclusive for Coles liquor group stores, First Choice and Vintage Cellars. The twin to the Shiraz, and in my opinion, the much better of the two wines.
Harvest Cottage by Annie’s Lane Chardonnay, Adelaide, 2015
Bouncy bouncy…this bounces with lots of bouncy yellow peachy fruit, wet wheat biscuit (which probably doesn’t bounce) and lines of bitter lime/grapefruit citrus (which probably bounce if you drop them right.) Bounce in the palate too: but a light deflated, so it doesn’t bounce quite so high: spiced stone fruit and expected citrus lines do their thing. Finishes with a modicum of acidity to make it juicy. I’m sure it can be found for less than the retail and as such, represents good value for your hard earned folding.
RRP: $14.99
Alc: 13.5%
