Good varietal nose: some mulchy brambles, pencil and cassis before sleek blackcurrant. Smooth and velvety palate. Easy chocolate-button oak before full blackberry fruit. Attractive and generous with plenty of purple flower highlights, there’s no need to cellar this one. Enjoy with slow cooked beef cheeks.
