Not sure if any other Australian region does the SB /S blend as well as Margaret River.
Flametree Sauvignon Blanc Semillon, Margaret River, 2016
Love the understated nose: Lemon pith & melon rind & white nectarine with soft grass, fresh young asparagus and star fruit. Succinct and juicy. The right amount of yin and yang. Crisp stone fruit slices and lemon/lime citrus with balanced tropicals and regional Margaret River briny tang. You’d almost be forgiven for thinking this was an unwooded/no MLF chardy before signature grass/green and almost red fruit leafiness. Acidity is high, flavour is long. Almost hate to say it, but pour me a 2nd glass.
