Have to admit, Verduzzo is one of my favourite grape names to say…come on, say it with me: Verrrr-Doot-Zo! Originally from the Fruili – Venezia Giulia and normally under the Colio DOCG.
Pizzini, Verduzzo, King Valley, 2016
Blueberries, clove and brown spice, some meringue leading to almost Jersey caramel richness and finally grapefruit to remind you it’s actually a white wine. There’s richness and a delicious texture. Balanced, delicious and a fantastic point of difference.
RRP: $24
Alc: 13.5%
