One might say there’s not enough Malbec going around. Here’s a cracker for a god price as usual from West Cape Howe.
West Cape Howe, Malbec, Frankland River, 2015
The colour is bright purple edged and deliciously soupy at the heart. Smells primary like a pure fermenting juice before dark/purple fruits of mulberry and blackberry ice cream, with a sweet baked citrus after note. The palate feels unfiltered and chunky with pink peppercorns, roasted capsicums, purple berries, meaty/creamy complexity and fine sandy tannins. Full flavoured fun. Feels like a wine in search of a party, so give it one.
RRP: $22
