Shingleback, Davey Estate Reserve , Cabernet Sauvignon, McLaren Vale, 2012
Deep cassis, blackberry, blueberry and fallen eucalyptus, pencil woodiness and some washed rind cheese meaty qualities that blow off with a bit of air. Like biting into a fresh mulberry as the juice explodes into your mouth, before dark blackberry and chocolatey ganache oak. The tannins are robust, yet elegantly beginning to mellow allowing for a silky ride. Just starting to hit its straps.
RRP: $25 (for current release 2014)
Alc: 14%
