While Argentina is strong in Malbec, Margaret River seems to have the foothold in Australia. Only 128 dozen bottles produced.
Risky Business, Malbec, Margaret River, 2015
Smells of cooking chocolate before a light inky note which melds well with purple/blackcurrant fruit, herbal/licorice twist. Feels a little strained and not quite settled into its skin. Fine tannins fade before a little alcoholic heat and a kick of acidity. There’s a raw edge to this which I want to like, but comes across as a little immature.
