The brother to the solid Shiraz. I’ve just moved house and rediscovered that I had some 20 year old Tahbilk Cabernets among my cellar. Reckon they’ll probably still be going strong.
Tahbilk, Cabernet Sauvignon, Nagambie Lakes, 2014
Subtle blackcurrant with the regional factor of eucalypt and mint, blood plum and chocolate drops. Enters the palate with a soft creep before black fruit dominance offset with some smoky char. Lingering violets decorate the fine, plentiful tannins. An easy choice at a medium price for the cellar.
RRP: $25.70
