Shingleback, Haycutters, Salmon Rosé, McLaren Vale/Adelaide Hills, 2017

Vibrant red fruit dominant nose, light musk sticks, the cleanliness of fresh chalk and cherry blossom, all the while a skulking petrichor hovers. Moving, swaying lightly with the right amount of grip and gumption from the pinot, this way it avoids being a fruit sweet lolly jar. Finishes with clipped acidity on top of the light cherry, strawberry and rosewater. A good value option in the sub $20 rosé stakes.
