De Bortoli Windy Peak Shiraz 2016

I’ve just come back from an overseas holiday in Europe where all the autumnal colours are fading, just like the label….

De Bortoli, Windy Peak Shiraz, Heathcote, 2016

Announces itself quite with plenty of perfume. There’s dashes of Grenache, Mourvedre and Durif to plump it up and round it all out. Raspberry and dark cherry with some lovely herbal notes from the additions and hints of blue fruits too. Generous without being plush, plenty of dark spice and dark fruits. Tannins are firm and a little sandy. Food friendly for an easy barbeque.

RRP: $13
Alc: 14.5%
Rating: 17/20
