12 months French oak maturation of which 30% was new oak. Heady aromas of dark Christmas cake spice, old leather, blackcurrants, liquorice, blue plums, raspberry and chocolate buttons. Smooth, polished front palate with all sorts of dark berries: boysenberry, black currant and dark raspberry. A savoury tang offsets the youthful oak before fine tannins that riff beautifully like Izzy Stradlin in Dust N’ Bones.
