The price point has hardly moved in years. Ultra reliable staple of so many BYO nights and pub wine list choices.
d’Arenberg, d’Arry’s Original, Shiraz, Grenache, McLaren Vale, 2014
Full aromas of cooking spices, plums, cherries, pencils, a lick of sweaty leather and house style oak. Hits all the right buttons with the balance between savoury, stony shiraz and plump giving grenache. Medium-full bodied with the right amount of fresh acidity. Plenty of grip and a decent length of flavour to finish with goodnight kisses of sweet oak. Does little to sway opinions of value.
