The wine underwent maturation in new and old American oak for up to 18 months.
Bremerton, Selkirk, Shiraz, Langhorne Creek, 2015
A lovely deep crimson colour in the glass. The American oak gives off a sweet vanilla bean edge while the white pepper seasons the deal. A little crushed ant and eucalypt to make you think you’re the bush before mixed berry compote fruitifies things. Fruit core sweet with chary smoky caramel edges, black jubes, sandy tannins and peppery mint as it finishes. There’s a little heat, but that adds to the generosity. A fuller style executed well.
