The gt stands for gewürztraminer (gewürz is German for spice) and I’ve always had a soft spot for quality “gt.”
Rymill, gt, Gewürztraminer, Coonawarra, 2017
This holds the palest blush of colour: a very light onion skin. The perfume has a spiced savoury balance to the varietal lychee and rosewater with fennel and salted caramel. A fuller style without being waxy or oily, it manages to maintain a svelte figure with a zesty line of minerality to complement the spice driven fruit. A perfect foil for spice driven foods. Bargain.
