French oak barrel fermentation and 11 months maturation with lees stirring (bâtonnage).
Bremerton, Bâtonnage, Chardonnay, Langhorne Creek, 2015
Light gold colour with yellow shine. Complex aromas of ripe stonefruits, light frying butter, lemon curd, with smoky and just warming-up stone hearth notes. Spicy oak, full stonefruit with a rich smear of butter underpinned by a long line of acidity that sizzles. Heading towards the big end of town. If you’ve got a chardonnay drinking friend who bemoans the leaner styles then this is a wine for them, yet still made with a thoroughly modern mindset.
