West Cape Howe, Tempranillo, Perth Hills, Frankland River, 2016

WCH Tempranillo

Good combination of subtle fruits and savoury earthy components: Mineral/graphite stony with black jelly bean, cherry, cherry wood and raspberry fruit with a hint of smoky rubber. Plays it cool and calm. Dusty, chalky tannins underscore a fresh, vibrantly dark fruit heart that beats to savoury diminuendo. Pair with a good slice of manchego or fall-apart braised beef cheeks.
