According to recent market research data, apparently the Prosecco category has grown 33.6% over the past 12 months (to February 2018). With such a strong market demand, it’s no wonder Australian Prosecco makers are hanging on tight in the fight to retain the use of the labeling term Prosecco. Here’s an exclusive to Woolworth’s stores in Australia from Italian powerhouse Zonin, replete with fresh packaging of teal blazes.
Zonin, Prosecco, D.O.C, Veneto, NV
Fine, fine bead to a very low rising lacy mousse. A dry nose with straw, lemon, pear and pastry-like cracker biscuit. Clean, easy and refined palate. A hint of saltiness gives some interest and complexity to subtle pear, apple and lemony citrus. Finishing quite dry with pleasant mouth feel, this sets a fine archetype for Italian Prosecco.
