As is the Claymore Wine methodology, this one named after the classic from The Verve: Bittersweet Symphony. I remember when the song was released. Think that means I’m officially getting old.
Claymore Wines, Bittersweet Symphony, Cabernet Sauvignon, Clare Valley, 2016
Earthy/sweaty roast beetroot, pipe tobacco, purple flowers, bramble, blackcurrant with hints of mint and roast meat pan jus. Palate dominance of black and purple fruits. Shed loads of fine tannin pin-pricked by lifted youthful brightness. Long, balanced finish with lingering, pleasant varietal mint. A step up from the 2015.
RRP: $25
