Red Knot by Shingleback, Grenache, Shiraz, Mourvèdre, McLaren Vale, 2017

Deep garnet coloured in the glass. An attractive nose of red currant, sweaty leather, rose petals, cherries in their juice, warm chocolate and clove studs. Smooth with plenty of perky red and black fruits and aromatic spices. The just fine tannin structure disencumbers any thoughts of cellaring. Good value.
