Tahbilk have been making wine in the central/north region of Victoria known as the Nagambie Lakes since 1860, however this blend only came into the line up in 2012.
Tahbilk, Grenache Shiraz Mourvedre, Nagambie Lakes, 2016
A balance of sweet and savoury aromas with expected plums, raspberry, soft turned earth, regional mint, coffee, baked red apple and just sharpened pencil. Supple and appealing. Fine, plentiful tannins with spicy black pepper and leafy mint providing highlights to the bright core of red fruits and lingering savoury meatiness. A very worthy addition to the Tahbilk line up.
