Oxford Landing Sauvignon Blanc 2017

Oxford Landing Estates, part of the Hill Smith Family Vineyards (think Yalumba) stable, is a real place. With real grapes made by real winemakers, primarily Andy La Nauze. Oxford have just rolled onto the 2018 but there’ll be some of this still floating about the retail world.

Oxford Landing, Sauvignon Blanc, Riverland, 2017

No mistaking it: gooseberry, green melon, dandelion leaves and with light passion fruit pulp and lime citrus. Mineral edged with tropical fruit swell. A little flabby acidity sours an otherwise serviceable, varietal expression which belies the price tag.

RRP: $8.99
Alc: 10.5%
Rating:  16.5/20
