This cellar release from Leasingham is from the famed sub region of Watervale. The bottle comes with plenty of #littlegoldstickers representing several gold medal and trophy wins from the last few years.
Leasingham, Classic Clare, Riesling, Clare Valley, 2012
Still a pristine, translucent colour. Fresh and lifted, familiar nose dripping with lemons, limes, mineral water spritz, candle wax and a hint of developing sweet richness. Poised and balanced: a ballerina en pointe. Mineral quartzy texture with an absolute core of fruit giving affirmation of quality. Has the structure and body ready to go for another many years yet but it’s at this time when the maturity is starting, (still buzzing with acidity yet wax-wrapped) that these wines shine. In the zone.
