An earthier expression than most merlot at the price with aromas of tobacco, chocolate and leather while the fruit runs through blackberry and plum.  The palate delivers similar to the nose with its grounded qualities and while there’s a suggestion of heat this is cast off quickly. Finishes off with chewy, sandy tannins. Better value than most merlots at the price.
