The White Label wines are those that Andrew Margan identifies during vintage has having something just a little “more.” Matured in 1 and 2 year old barriques for 14 months.
Margan, White Label, Shiraz Hunter Valley, 2013
Deeply fruited with damson plums, blackberry, kid skin glove leather and an amalgam of spices headed by cloves and tobacco. Violet petals and graphite give a delicate, fine edge. Perfectly balanced with yet ripe layers of smoky black/purple fruit with fine, chalky tannins, a rapier slice of acidity and soft chocolatey finish. Ageing gloriously.
