Sub-labelled: Vino Novello. I got a taste for Vino Novello this time last year visiting my wife’s Italian family, just outside of Rome in the Laziale wine growing region. Fresh, immediately drinkable wines…made to be consumed in youth and at the table. This is Longview’s Vino Novello in its striking art deco livery.

No oak influence and a true ruby colour in the glass. Bright, fresh. Cranberry, cherry, rose petals, raspberry crystals. Carries natural grip and tension, with pure red fruit. Put it in the centre of the table with the salumi platter and you’ve got it made. Slosh it around and enjoy.
