The Holy Trinity continues the Burge nomenclature of religious titles, this time the Holy Trinity are Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvedre. Released with a few years under it’s hefty belt.
Grant Burge, The Holy Trinity, GSM, Barossa, 2014
Still showing big hits of plum, raspberry and Christmas cake spice, throw in some still youthful chocolate cake and a distinct baked orange with light leafy hints. Manages to provide vibrancy and freshness through the raspberry dominant, densely textured mid palate profile. Still plenty of spice as the tannins show beginnings of integration. Medium full length and maintaining balance. One for the bigger red lovers for sure, but still with charm.
