From the cracking 2017 vintage in the Hunter, this is Thommo’s “Entry Level” Shiraz, but absolutely on target.

A blend of barrel selections from across the single vineyard range. Each part plays a role. There’s Chinese spice aromas, plum dust, cool blue fruit and tight/rich dark berries. Has plenty of oomph as befitting the price point yet retains bright touches of absolute elegance and drive. There’s a dusty Hunter profile, with a full body with lingering chocolate buttons.
