Alcohol starting to creep up for this marque from the Great Southern, but elegance is still present.
Singlefile, Frankland River, Cabernet Sauvignon, Great Southern, 2016
A chary and tarry coffee nose to open with plenty of black olive and cassis. Some meatier, ‘bonox’ notes over plush leather and cigar ash to give a savoury edge to blackberry flesh. Grainy tannins spread fan-like underneath to svelte, elegance. A thoroughly modern Cabernet with brightly lit black fruit and hint of varietal eucalypt with a strong finish.
