Varietal tight black and purple fruit/berries with leafy cassis, earthy campfire ash and tobacco. Medium to full, with fine knit tannins and colour by numbers varietal black fruits. The fruit is evenly balanced, even though it finishes a little quickly. Persistence through mid to back palate. Happy to have a glass at any sports awards or trivia night. A step up from the 2016
