Zero filtration, stabilisation, fining or other additives according to winemaker Franco D’Anna, only a touch of sulphur at bottling.
Hoddles Creek Estate, 1er Yarra Valley, Chardonnay, 2018
A soft golden colour. Barley sugar, crisp peach and rock melon rind, light brine and roast chicken meat, oak spice (35% new used this year) and some exhausted match. A rounder start to the palate showing vintage conditions before a firm structure and surprising acidity slices through the canvas. Peach and melon (white flesh) with a brown spice oak edge. Persistence and length are hallmarks.
