From a single vineyard in the Sellicks Hill area of McLaren Vale planted in 1997 and 1999. Matured in old French oak for 18 months. Winemaker is Renae Hirsch.

Earthy baked beets, camphorwood, kitchen herbs, peppery spice, tin foil, raspberry, blueberry tea cake and leaf matter. Tight and almost miserly from a fruit perspective. The aforementioned peppery spice dominates over drying, near astringent tannins before a crisp red fruit flourish.
