No mention of the blend % split for this release of the V&A (Victoria & Albert) Lane Cabernet Shiraz, but the advice is that they are harvested and co-fermented (naturally). No price rise in 7 years either, making these an affordable elegance from Sarah Pidgeon (and Sue Hodder) at Wynns.

How Sarah and the winemaking team manage to keep this under 13% is to be applauded. Coonawarra stamps of chocolate and a little mint with moist just-baked beetroot chocolate cake, fresh and bright red fruits, blackberry jus and some inky cassis. Medium to full. Bouncy red and black fruits with a refined structure ably supported by focused, ripe and plentiful tannins. Serve with lamb steaks, just medium rare.
