A mix of blocks (B, E and C) from the famed Capella vineyard which only has 1.6 hectares planted to Chardonnay. Less than 5kms inland, the vineyard is heavily influenced by the maritime climate. The fruit was whole bunch pressed into tank then racked with full solids into French oak barriques and puncheons (33% new). Mostly wild/indigenous ferment. 11 months oak maturation.
Handpicked Wines, Chardonnay, Mornington Peninsula, 2021

Ripe and full Chardonnay but retains elegance. Soft oak and lees nuances give nutty, savoury notes. Yellow stone fruit and fig with limey and grapefruit citrus. Creamy and round balanced by crisp acidity and flinty, mineral edge. Textural and tasty.
