Whole bunch pressed, but no extended skin contact for the winemaking. So fresh, so clean.
Longview, Queenie, Pinot Grigio, Adelaide Hills, 2023
Defiantly Grigio (the Saturnos are Italian after all). Just the slightest hint of depth to the colour. Pretty nose of pear flesh and blossom with candle wax, lemon drop citrus, crab apple, chalk and a touch of saline. Running pretty lean and dry, it’s zesty and driving with some tartness and tacky-ness around the phenolics. The quality of fruit is definitely present, just finishing with a little hollowness. Maybe I’ve come to expect more from the label.
